HTML Text Formatting

Bold Text | Italic Text | Highlighted Text | Smaller Text | Deleted Text | Superscript Text

With the use of some HTML tags, you can make your web page texts to appear differently than normal text. There are many formatting tags in HTML. below are some of the examples.

  • <b> tag is used to make the text bold.
  • <i> tag is used to make the text Italic.
  • <mark> tag is used to highlight the text.
  • <small> tag is used to make the text small.
  • <del> tag is used to indicate deleted text.
  • <sup> tag is used to define superscript text.

HTML Bold Text

The content that appears between <b> ... </b> element will displayed as bold text.



HTML Italic Text

The content that appears between <i> ... </i> element will displayed as italic text.



HTML Highlighted Text

The content that appears between <mark> ... </mark> element will displayed as highlighted text.



HTML Smaller Text

The content that appears between <small> ... </small> element will be displayed in smaller compared to other surrounding text.



HTML Deleted Text

The content that appears between <del> ... </del> element, is displayed as deleted text.



HTML Superscript Text

The content that appears between <sup> ... </sup> element, is displayed half a character above the normal line.
